Every year after our fund raiser in March, the Darien Rotarians start accepting grant requests from the citizens of Darien and surrounding communities. These are named 'Grants In Aid'.  These grants are given for any worthwhile endeavor, no matter what you age. Everyone is eligible to apply. Typical grants are for educational purposes, self enrichment and fulfillment, just about anything. The grant process closes in early May. At that time the Rotarians gather to discuss the grants and allocated the funds to the most worthy causes. Usually the grants are between $500 and $1,500. But it is not unusual to have grant requests for as little as $45. This website will have information on the grant process for next year starting in March. Most applicants apply online at our website. To date we have allocated in excess of $250,000.
